My favorite doll ever was a very realistic baby doll. I saw it at the Blocks toy department downtown and fell in love. It was $20. That was a fortune in the mid-fifties. My grandmother put it in the layaway and secretly made payments until it was finally mine. What a great gift! All the doll did was drink and wet -- this was long before dolls talked, walked, etc.
