Perhaps the special events motto for the world’s biggest and best children’s museum should be “the hostess with the mostess.”
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is proud to announce that The International Special Event Society (ISES) Indiana Chapter recently honored the museum with three Indiana PACE Awards (Professional Achievement in Creative Events).
The museum won in these categories:
Best Event with a Legacy for the Power of Children Awards
The category honors events that create long-term value for a community or cause. Events may include but are not limited to benefits, charitable fundraising events, dedications and/or ceremonies.
Best Not Profit Event (over $75,000) for the Black Hat Bash
This category honors excellence in non-profit event planning. Events in this category include, but are not limited to, fundraisers, institutions, campaigns, kick-off events and/or donor events.
Best Team Effort (over $200,000) for Night at the Museum
This award recognizes a group effort for an entire event or portion of an event that requires a minimum of three team members. For this Roche Diagnostics corporate event, the team included The Children’s Museum, Sodexo, Party Time Rental, King Shots, and Encore Entertainment.
“We take great pride in creating wonderful memories for those who attend events here at The Children’s Museum, whether they are six-year olds celebrating a birthday, teenagers attending their prom, or guests of Fortune 500 companies holding an important business gala here. Our imaginative and committed team of event planners work very hard to make sure each and every event is extraordinary for the organizers as well as the attendees,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
The museum’s events team produces about 100 special events a year ranging from birthday parties to weddings and company outings to huge corporate extravaganzas.
