Cheer On the Colts at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and "Light the Town Blue"

The world’s biggest and best children’s museum, will give Colts fans their biggest opportunity to give the best team headed to the NFL 2012 Playoffs, a fan-tastic send-off.

The museum, in partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, will host “Light the Town Blue” Community Day, on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. It is the first 2013 city-wide celebration of the Indianapolis Colts playoff run! Museum visitors are encouraged to wear blue. Everyone will receive a $2 discount on regular museum admission that day. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will also receive free blue glow sticks and playoff posters, compliments of the Colts. Fans are invited to participate in a variety of Colts related activities while enjoying all museum exhibits.

A few select Colts players and Blue, the team mascot, will join Rex, The Children’s Museum mascot, to participate in kid- and family- friendly activities.  Colts Cheerleaders will replace pom-poms with pens to sign autographs.

“We could not be more proud of what the Indianapolis Colts have achieved this year. Theirs’ has been a season of overcoming significant odds to achieve resounding success.  Those challenges included Head Coach Chuck Pagno’s cancer, which is thankfully in remission.  The Colts set the example we strive to instill at the museum… no matter how difficult your challenges, always strive to be the best you can be.  We are thrilled to host such a fun and inspirational community event. Go Blue!” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
