Mayor Greg Ballard made a promise to meet regularly with Indianapolis community members. Today (April 11, 2013), marks a milestone: his 50th Mayor’s Night Out. This free event will be held at the world’s biggest and best children’s museum from 6 – 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Ballard traditionally has held these informative town hall-style meetings since early 2008 at churches, schools and park facilities and is now adding prominent “destination” locations to the mix.
“The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a great partner for the City and a wonderful, central location for Center Township residents to come out and attend the Mayor’s Night Out to learn about City initiatives, share feedback and ask questions,” said Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard.
The Children’s Museum is an active partner in the six Mid-North area neighborhoods, which surround it. “People who live, work, or have an interest in the neighborhoods of Crown Hill, Highland Vicinity, Historic Meridian Park, Mapleton-Fall Creek, Meridian Highlands, and Watson-McCord are encouraged to attend this event. This is an opportunity to have your voice heard regarding housing, safety, and redevelopment of Mid-North,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “This important event will help us remain focused on our neighborhood Quality of Life plan.”
Mayor Ballard and key members of his executive staff will be present to answer questions and gather information on issues that may require follow-up.
