It’s not just children and families who enjoy visiting the world’s largest children’s museum, employees love it too!
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is pleased to announce it has been selected as one of “The Indianapolis Star Top Workplaces in Central Indiana.” According to Star Media, the Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback.
In December 2013, an employee survey commissioned by The Star was conducted by Workplace Dynamics, LLC, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Here are a few quotes from staff about their positive employment experience at the museum:
- "The culture of ‘extraordinary’ seems to be fully embraced by all."
- "Strong leadership, educational opportunities and good benefits."
- "I love the diversity of projects that we get to work on and the talent of my coworkers..."
“I am proud to work alongside so many creative, talented, and hard-working individuals. Whether they create extraordinary family learning exhibits, help maintain our amazing facility, or interact directly with the children and families who visit, they each share a piece of themselves because they love The Children’s Museum as much as I do and they enjoy playing a part in transforming lives,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Our equally committed Board of Trustees considers it the museum’s priority to create an inspirational and caring culture to support and encourage our staff.”
