My daughters (ages 5 and 2 1/2) love to watch the Big Bird movie about space in the Planetarium at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. It always keeps their attention. I have been amazed at the knowledge that they take away from the movie. One day we were driving in the car and the topic of stars came up. My oldest told me that the sun is a star and we can see it during the day. She also told me that there are big holes on the moon called craters. She knows why it gets dark at night and is light during the day. The movie is always a topic of conversation after we have visited the museum. This is just one story, but we have many! We have loved coming to the museum and I know my girls always learn something when they are there.
