We love the Indianapolis Children's Museum so much in fact, that we're members of it, but NOT Madison's.
My two girls, ages four and seven, love Playscape, the carousel, and the Barbie exhibit, naturally! My son Chase is about to turn two and hasn't decided what he likes best, though running down the ramp is pretty popular!
Little known fact: The carousel has only one deer that goes up and down. As a little girl, my mission was to seek it out to ride every time. I've told that story to Emerson, my seven-year-old, and it's now become her mission, too!
One of my favorite adult memories was attending the New Year's Eve party at the museum and racing down the Yule Slide in my ball gown...that material is pretty fast!
This holiday season, we'll visit the museum with my mom, stepmom, little brother, and big brother's family of four. We will all race down the Yule Slide, as it has become a tradition over the last few years.
Even though my kids aren't growing up in Indiana, I'm in love with the idea that they will always have warm and fuzzy childhood memories of visiting Indianapolis and the Children's Museum during the holidays.
My attached photo is of my girls, Emerson and Sam, manning the Barbie desk.
