How Julia came out of her shell

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"40040","attributes":{"class":"media-image","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","title":"Member Stories","alt":"Member Stories"}}]]My daughter Julia is 3 years old, and has been a fairly shy child, and gets scared very easily. We bought a membership to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and saw all of that change. The first time we went, she lit up like a Christmas tree. All her fears went out the window, and she was in her own little world of delight. I saw her interacting with other kids, and sharing (a difficult lesson to teach a toddler). Also, dinosaurs used to scare her. Now she LOVES them! She was not the least bit scared as we went through the Dinosphere exhibit, which I expected since the skeletons are large, and it's relatively dark. And her favorite thing was digging for the bones! Now she will watch dinosaurs on tv, and begs to go back to the museum every weekend. There is so much to do there, and so much for the children to learn. We feel very blessed to live so close to such a magical place. My daughter has definitely grown from her experience there, and we couldn't be more grateful! We look forward to coming back, and bringing our nephews next time so they can enjoy the fun!
