March is here and so is spring! Whether you’re interested in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, getting back outdoors, or finding some fun activities for spring break, there is something happening throughout the Access Pass network.

Bellaboo’s Play and Discovery Center
Mar. 10, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

$2 Access Pass admission and $3 for supplies

This March, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Bellaboo’s educational programs for homeschool families and groups. Home School Fri-Yay’s Green Goo & Leprechauns is a chance for interactive learning, art projects, play stations, and a guided Wild Wonders program with a Lake County Parks Nature Expert. Suitable for children aged 3-–9 years old and their grown-ups.

Indiana Waterways: The Art of Conservation

Fort Wayne Museum of Art

Come and see Indiana Waterways, a project from five Hoosier artists who used the lockdown during the pandemic to capture the growing urgency of environmental inattention through art and words. This traveling exhibition comes with an accompanying 200-plus page art book featuring 100 paintings and an opportunity for community forums and civic discussions to draw attention and build awareness of the need for increased conservation and restoration. 

Sensory Babies

Terre Haute Children’s Museum

Babies 3–-18 months need opportunities to exercise their bodies and brains. By providing visual, texture, scent, and sound activities. tummy time, and gross motor movements, Sensory Babies is designed to meet your child's developmental needs. Discover creative ways to play, move, and sing with your little one to help them grow and learn. Dress for the mess!

Early Explorers

Terre Haute Children’s Museum

Play-filled time with your child’s development in mind. Early Explorers meets the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. Infant and toddlers will engage in a welcoming environment full of new experiences with their peers. Parents and caregivers can engage in quality time with their child and fellow caregivers while playing, singing, and learning together.

Wee Wonders

Newfields
March. 10, 17, 31

Join in the fun and explore the galleries at Newfields. Participants and their grown-ups will sing songs, go on an Art Hunt, read a story, and make art. Wee Wonders is a fun-filled class experience specially designed for children ages 3–5 and their caregivers; younger siblings are welcome as well. Every individual attending needs a ticket (including one free adult ticket).  

Important Update—Rhythm! Discovery Center

Due to excessive flooding in December’s winter storm, Rhythm! Discovery Center experienced flooding in their museum. Although none of their archives or collections were damaged due to strict storage procedures, the venue has had to close its doors whilst they work on restoration efforts. 

Treehouse Outpost

Conner Prairie
From March. 28

Treetop Outpost features a four-story treehouse and fun areas for exploring, building, and even playing songs on outdoor instruments. Connect with the natural materials in the world around you. Disconnect from gadgets and unplug in a beautiful wooded setting. There's no "one way" to play here!
