Cheer On the 2013 Playoff Bound Colts, Meet Players and Get Your Picture Taken with the Super Bowl Trophy

Put on your Colt’s blue, bring your camera, meet Colts players and “Light the Town Blue” at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Children’s Museum teams up with the Indianapolis Colts to provide family-friendly, fun ways to participate in the excitement of this Saturday’s game in which the Colts will face the Kansas City Chiefs on Wild Card Weekend.

Get your picture taken beside the Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl XLI Trophy and meet Blue, the Colts mascot, who will officially open the museum on January 2 by taking a trip down the Yule Slide with museum mascot “Rex” at 10 a.m. Colts players Dwayne Allen and Vick Ballard will make appearances, and participate in a variety of Jolly Days activities, including helping with the Yule Slide.  Colts Cheerleaders will be on hand to sign autographs and read to visitors during Story Time. Arrive early because the first 3,000 visitors will receive free Colt’s posters and blue glow necklaces.  The Light the Town Blue celebration also includes plenty of blue food in the museum Food Court, blue Jell-O, blue cookies and a bleu cheese burger.

“We wear blue with pride here at The Children's Museum and are honored to host events such as Community Day to support our hometown team. It is another way for families and children to spend quality time together while showing their spirit, enthusiasm, and pride for our Indianapolis Colts,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

In addition to the opportunity for visitors to get their pictures taken with the Super Bowl trophy, Emmis radio stations (The Fan AM, WIBC-FM, Hank FM, B-105) will have a photo booth in the museum.
