Enter the Cursed Castle with caution—if you DARE

Cursed Castle (October 8-30, 2016)
Hear ye, hear ye! Burnadette the Dragon is guarding The Children’s Museum Guild’s 53rd Annual Haunted House—Cursed Castle, which is presented by Old National Bank. Through the centuries, many knights and princesses have failed to delay the doom. Now it’s your turn be brave in the attempt! Storm the castle to conquer the curse – we double dragon dare you!

Cursed Castle is sure to shock and scare you silly. Climb in the catacombs, wind through the witch’s den, and drift by the dragon’s dungeon in a perilous adventure!

“Each year, The Children’s Museum Guild works hard to create a creepy, new experience that is both fun and enjoyable for the entire family while creating memories that will last a lifetime,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Those who want to delight in the whimsy of royalty are welcome to visit Pirates and Princesses a temporary exhibit; but those who dare to be scared won’t want to miss the opportunity to creep through the Cursed Castle and experience an adventure like none other as they try to break the curse.”

IPL offers Lights-On Hours for a less-scary opportunity for the little costumed cuties. But the Frightening Hours, for the brave of heart, keep the lights off! Tickets are $8 at the door and are available at The Children’s Museum Box Office or online at childrensmuseum.org/hauntedhouse. Tickets go on sale Sept. 12. Discount tickets can be purchased at Indianapolis Marsh locations.

Black Hat Dash (Saturday, October 29, 2016)
Put on your running armor, and practice fleeing from Burnadette the Dragon in the third annual Black Hat Dash—Indy’s frightfully fun run and weirdly wonderful walk! Both the 1 mile and 5K races will begin and end at The Children’s Museum with closed route roads and police supervision. Participants receive a t-shirt, but are encouraged to dress in Halloween attire for a chance to win the Black Hat Dash’s costume contest. Following the 1 mile/5K Family Fun Run and Walk, participants are invited to attend this year’s Haunted House, Cursed Castle

The Black Hat Dash is presented by Riley Children’s Health. Register and see the course at childrensmuseum.org/dash.
