My then two-year-old daughter was in love with the movie "The Wizard of Oz." Her aunt even made her a Dorothy dress and it was topped off with her very own pair of red ruby slippers (which she wore with everything). During this time, Bella introduced herself as Dorothy to family and friends!
So imagine our delight when we learned of the Lilly Theater's showing of The Return To Oz! We called the museum to discuss watching the show and meeting the characters after. Being able to meet the characters was so exciting for Bella! She had her picture taken with Dorothy (in their matching attire) then with her friends Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion! My little chatterbox was speechless!
Bella's love for Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz continues. She is now three and we have read the book and continue to discuss how awesome it was to meet them for real!
The show was amazing and my 10-year-old son even enjoyed the experience for himself as well as his little sister. What an awesome experience for my kids!!
