This ride sparked her interest in cars and trains, but more importantly just how things work. She was amazed that, just by pedaling, the train would go forwards AND backwards.
After this experience, she asked to check out books about trains and cars during our weekly library visit. She also became more interested in riding her bike because she realized the cause/effect of pedaling.
So, because of this part of The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, she's developed a more functional understanding of the mechanics of pedaling. Often, when she gets on her bike she comments that "her legs make it move like the milk carton train."
Thank you for having such interactive and fun exhibits—they make learning so much fun! :)
