The Children's Museum of Indianapolis has been a constant in my life. As a child, my grandparents took me every year, and today, I take my children several times each year.
Although I have many terrific memories, one that is very important to me is that both of my children had their first carousel ride at the Children's Museum. Even though my children are still pretty young, I look back on those pictures and remember the sweet little toddlers whose eyes lit up at the site of the horses, letting them choose the one they wanted to ride on (or the bench in my son's case), and how much joy they had from that simple ride.
We always make a point to ride at least once during each visit, and it's usually one of the last things we do before we leave. That carousel has so many special memories for me - a visit wouldn't be the same without it!
