We began educating at home in the fall of 2010 for several reasons. One of them being that one of our children has needs that are best met by us. He processes sensory information differently than many other people. He is easily overstimulated and so we try to avoid certain situations. He often bucks at trying new things because he is not sure what it will be like, how it will sound, or how or it will feel. He learns best through experience and interactive situations.

We came to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis this spring for the first time i a long time. We had been learning about Ancient Egypt at home for a few weeks before we made our trip, hoping to build a foundation for visiting Egypt at the museum. The Egypt exhibit is amazing! He loved every minute of it, from the airplane "ride" to the market and the waterworks. It was wonderful watching him start to make the connection between what we had been reading about and the displays you had up in the exhibit that made it so real for him.

Thank you so much for adding to our "school" experience!
