I love the Indianapolis Children's Museum. I have been visiting regularly since I was young. When I became a mother, one of the first things I did was purchase a membership. My daughter, and later my son, would explore Mommy's favorite place from their stroller. It soon became their favorite place, too! We would visit at least once a month then and as often as possible now. If we didn't live over an hour away we might be there every day!
Our favorite spot in the museum was Playscape where they could crawl and then toddle around to their hearts' content. I loved watching them learn through sand, water and dress up play. Now my daughter, a busy second grader, loves the Barbie exhibit (sad it has to leave) and the Chihuly glass. My son, all boy and just finishing kindergarten, loves Science Works and Dinosphere. Some of my favorite pictures are of the kids in the dino dig! Both the kids will dig in our woods, certain they will find a dino bone here, too! We can't wait until they are old enough to go on the family dino digs in South Dakota. Thank you, ICM, for providing our family with a lifetime love of exploring!
