Me and Grandpa

My dad and Landon were the best of friends. They would always find a reason to go to the Children's Museum to play together. My dad was a disabled veteran so there wasn't many places he could go with Landon and take his scooter and still have fun. The Children's Museum is the one place that was always the right temperature, had enough room for dad to move around on the scooter, and could let Landon play with grandpa without someone saying make that kid be quiet. My dad passed away when Landon was 3 1/2 years old but we still visit The Children's Museum a lot. We went the week of the costumes and Landon said "Hey, mom, look Grandpa is here." I didn't get what he was saying at first until I saw the Batman Costume. My dad's name was Bruce Wayne DeArmond, the grandchildren called him Batman. I took Landon's picture next to grandpa's costume and gave him a big hug. He said, "see mom, grandpa still comes to the museum with us." I told him he always will.
