Build a soap powered boat with Science Educator Don! In this video, he’ll show you how fun science can be with just a few household items.
Materials:
- Empty cereal box
- Scissors
- Toothpick
- Dish detergent
- Llarge bowl
Procedure:
- Cut a small house shape out of the cereal box. This will be your boat.
- Cut a triangle out of the bottom of the house shape, with one of the points pointing at the bottom.
- Fill the bowl with water
- Gently place your “boat” on the surface of the water so it floats.
- Dip your toothpick in dish detergent and then tap it inside the triangle in the boat.
- Watch what happens!
