My daughter is extremely shy, the more people the worse she is and wants to clinge to me (her mom). She is 4 1/2 now and loves The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. We took her this past New Years Eve for Countdown to Noon and we were lucky enough to watch the play in the Lilly theate. After the show Dorthy and the whole crew were outside the theatre. She was amazed. She went up and hugged them, waved to them, and let go of me for just a moment to take in a precious point in her childhood. I was so proud of her that day. She stopped being so worried about everything else—all the people, all the noise. She went up to them all by herself and had an experience she hasn't had since. She let herself go and let herself be a child—a child who wanted to hug 4 characters that she loved to watch. To this day she asks when Dorothy is going to be at the Children's Museum again.
