In the winters especially due to the cold weather here. Someone told me to check out the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Boy was I ever glad that they did as we were not disappointed. My son is now 5 and we have been coming here since he was a little baby. I love that this Museum grows with your child. There is always something new and exciting. It is a very clean a and fun environment to play in. My sister has two children that are older 13 and 16 and when come very summer it is the first place they want to visit.
We visit the Children's Museum about once every two weeks or so sometimes more frequently. We love all the exhibits that we have seen there my children are 5 and almost 2 and the part I really love about it is that there are places there for both of them that they both can enjoy together. We often meet up with friends and have play-dates right inside the Museum which allows us to feel safe and secure.
There is always something new to learn at the Children's Museum. I will usually quiz my son on the way home about the Dino's especially.
My family loves to explore, in fact, both of my kids love to dig for bones inside the Dino exhibit and can stay there for a long time each visit. We also are huge Dora and Diego fans and love the way that this exhibit is set up to allow them to feel like they are part of so many episodes of the shows they have seen and love so much. Once of my greatest memories in this particular area was watching my daughter see Dora and running up and giving her a huge hug and saying "hi, Dora, I Sophia."
My son on the other hand really loves the carousel and stakes claims on the tiger every time we ride in fact if someone else has already gotten on it we often will ride twice so he can choose it the next time. The one thing that he learned about it was that it use to be in a park. He still tries to figure out how they got it inside with it being so big. He is so funny that way. Overall the Children's museum is a place where my children have built many memories and a place I'm certain they will build many more as they progress in their childhood. I am so glad that it is here in our city.
