INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 13, 2023) - The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is excited to announce a new long-term partnership with USA Track & Field (USATF).
As part of a multi-year, long-term partnership, a new experience will be coming to the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience in 2023. The Hershey/USATF RunJumpThrow Experience will be permanently added to the 7.5-acre outdoor sports park.
“Running, jumping and throwing are the pillars of all sports! Adding a track and field experience will add tremendous value to the already exciting sports experience,” said Caleb Bailey, Director of Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience. USA Track & Field have been tremendous friends of the museum in the past and it feels great to have them as a partner moving forward.”
“Since the program began, RunJumpThrow has consistently provided meaningful opportunities for kids to get excited about physical activity,” said USATF CEO Max Siegel. “A fun and positive introduction to the basics can be a catalyst in developing a lifelong love of sport, which is why we’re thrilled to unveil a permanent Hershey/USATF RunJumpThrow Experience at the Children’s Museum.”
The Hershey/USATF RunJumpThrow Experience will offer an opportunity for families to learn new skills and have a lot of fun running, jumping and throwing! Families will be able to run a 50m dash and compare their time to, USATF Legend, Wilma Rudolph, sprint down the runway, leap into a long jump pit and step into the ring and throw a shot put!
The RunJumpThrow Experience opens to the public on March 18, 2022.
