INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 23, 2023) - Jackie Joyner-Kersee kicked off her new children’s book tour today at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Jackie dominated the women’s decathlon for many years—winning three gold, one silver, and two bronze Olympic medals at four different Olympic Games. Her new book, Jackie Joyner-Kersee Running For The Gold Connecting Kids to Dreams, shares how she overcame challenges early in life to rise to the top.
Several local school groups had the wonderful opportunity to meet Jackie and hear her read segments from her book.
“It all started with having fun, working hard every day and listening to the people who had good advice,” said Joyner-Kersee.
