Moments after Santa’s Secret Service (special forces elves) searched for the Grinch, they gave an all clear and Mr. Claus safely raced into The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis! Cheers from families and elves filled the air as the big guy rolled in with two-time Indy 500 pole-sitter and Verizon Indy Car Series owner/driver Ed Carpenter at the wheel of a real Indy Racing Experience 2-seater.
While Santa prepared to zip down the Yule Slide, children and families sipped hot cocoa and sang along with The Children’s Museum’s very own barber shop quartet, The Corduroys. All around the museum you could feel the joy and see elves and families sharing in the fun and making new memories with their children.
Finally, the big moment arrived. Santa and member child Evan Morgan, selected by the museum to join Santa on his first ride, slid down the Yule Slide, officially kicking off the holiday season here at the world’s largest children’s museum.
